How much does that skid run? And Marcus send him a message for some pics and to see if he will ship. My account for there never would work. I want to eventually build my TJ mildly and that would be a good parts start

I pm'd him and told him to send you some pictures. The skid plate is expensive if you buy it new, but I got mine off ebay "scratch and dent" for 400 bucks. I think that was about half price of the skid at the time.

Cool, i'll be waiting to hear from him. I'd like to get the parts over time and do a long arm kit at the current ride height and keep the 32's or maybe a 33 next. Do a 8.8 Rear with a locker and lock and chromo the front. Should be a decent Gulches rig and serve the current purpose of around town driving.

I'd honestly just say keep the arms in the stock location, and just run short arms for what you want to do with the rig. Would probably keep the rig a good bit cheaper.

Only thing I didn't like about the short arms on mine was the rear trying to walk up when climbing stuff, front did great. Rockkrawler makes a rear 4 link kit to triangulate the uppers to fix that problem, upper arms are bent and bolt into stock location frame side and a truss on axle side.

I'd think you would drag like a bitch with the re kit and 33-32s.

Think so? I was thinking it would be better by getting the belly up? I haven't looked at that stuff much though.

The arms are what I'd think what would hang you up more so then the belly.

I'd scoop some aftermarket lowers that were beefy and had rebuild able joints on atleast one end, adjustable front uppers for pinion adjustment, artecs 8.8 swap gig and then build uppers and mock kinda what rockkrawler did with there kit having the uppers bolt in frame side factory mounts. That way your not doing anything custom or hacking on frame just building bent uppers and you could unbolt it all and bolt all factory back in if you decided to sell or anything. There's plenty of belly pans on market now that can tuck it up for cheap. If I was to ever find myself buying a stock TJ that's what I'd do atleast.

Gotcha. I'm posting for the very reason of feedback. I'm just tryin to get out cheap and have the best end result
